What makes Midwood unlike any other Hudson Valley event venue is the combination of scale, privacy, and history. At 70 acres, the estate offers multiple distinct event settings: the lawn overlooking the river, the grounds around the Big House, the pond and cottage at The Grove, and the carriage road that winds through the property. There are no neighboring properties to worry about, no noise curfews to navigate, and no rental hall aesthetic to overcome.

Wedding planners typically reserve the Big House (its kitchen, ground floor rooms and/or bedrooms), its lawns, the Barn (for welcome parties and/or afterparties) and the Upper Meadow (for guest parking).
Receptions/Parties
Those hosting receptions (or other events lasting just a few hours) typically reserve the Big House’s kitchen and ground floor public rooms, porches and lawns, and the Upper Meadow (for guest parking).
Film and Photoshoots
Using the Big House interiors, porches, lawns and the Hudson River as backdrops, photographers will find Midwood makes striking images. Two hours from New York City. Fees vary based on scope and duration.
